Fifteen years ago I thought the world was getting back to the way it should be. The boys basketball team was winning again at GP, Chevy had brought back the Camaro Z28, The Dukes of Hazzard was back on television, Steve Perry was finally back with Journey, they had put out a new album and it was only a matter of time before they would be on tour, John Travolta was making movies worth watching and Eric Clapton was being played on hit radio again. Life was good.
I remember going to the movies to watch Phenomenon. It's still the only movie I went to see at the theater by myself and this SOTD was part of the movie. It landed at #6 on Billboard this week 15 years ago.
Funny how things change. The Camaro is back but without the Z28 or T-tops, The Dukes of Hazzard is on DVD, Travolta is back making questionable movies, Clapton is back to being played on "classic" radio and Steve Perry hurt his hip hiking and eventually Journey decided to tour without him. Sometimes life is like an albatross around the neck, but Don't Stop Believing!
All the roads we have to walk along are winding...MH
